Prepare your camera device
iPhone / iPad settings
  • Reevir keeps the screen awake automatically on supported browsers. If Screen awake says Use device settings (including on iOS 12), set Auto-Lock to Never, if available.
  • Turn Low Power Mode off.
  • On iOS 13.4 or newer, use Safari Share, then Add to Home Screen. If camera access fails there, return to Safari. On older iOS, keep the camera open in Safari.
  • For a dedicated camera, use Guided Access. Automatic launch after reboot requires supervised device management.
Android settings
  • If the screen still sleeps, choose the longest available screen timeout or use a managed stay-awake setting.
  • Turn Battery Saver off.
  • Enable Auto-rotate in Quick Settings for landscape positioning.
  • In Chrome, choose Install app or Add to Home screen, then launch from its icon for full-screen viewing.
  • Automatic launch after reboot and locked navigation bars require Android kiosk or device management.

Locking the screen or switching apps can pause the camera. Return here and tap Resume camera if needed. A Home Screen shortcut does not keep the camera running in the background.

Position your camera
  • Clean the lens and secure the device with a clear view.
  • Secure the phone in a stable position, away from a child's reach.
  • Keep charging connections dry and watch for overheating. A mount does not make the device weatherproof.
  • Use a ventilated position. Do not use a device with a swollen battery or a damaged charger.
  • Open Reevir Security and check live view before leaving the device monitoring.
